Using a one quarter inch seam allowance, close the bottom of the shirt. For added seam strength, back-stitch a couple of times with the sewing machine. If you are hand sewing the seam, double knot the thread and sew small stitches as evenly as you are able. You do not want your tanning supplies to rip the seam.
