The people who collect sports memorabilia take their hobby very seriously. There is no reason for them not to, after all many of them have spent thousands of dollars and a ton of time invested in the hobby. This and all the other reasons above is why they do not take any chances with where they store their treasures. Because they are just that to these people, they are a treasure to them for sure.
Once they feel confident that they have their collection as safe as it can be they will then be able to relax at least a little bit. They will maybe store the things away and maybe they will show them off. Either way they will feel safe and secure in the knowledge that nothing bad can happen to their most favorite things.
