A Glance At The Daily Cleanser From Aveeno's Positively Radiant Line

By Sally Turner

With thousands of different skincare products available to you, it can be difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. All of them make claims to leave your skin clean, refreshed, revitalized, etc. However,. few of them deliver. The following is a brief review of one of the more popular drugstore cleansers out there: the Daily Cleanser from Aveeno's Positively Radiant line.

To start, you should understand more about the Positively Radiant line itself. All of the products in this line, including the cleanser, are oil-free, non-reactive, they don't use soap for their suds, and they will not block the pores of your skin. They are also made with a special soy formula, patented by Aveeno, that uses the natural healing properties of soy to calm and smooth out your skin.

The simple reality is that while most people love this product, others strongly dislike it. Let's first take a look at some of the negatives reactions to it. If you have a dry complexion and have had issues with other cleansing products in the past, this cleanser might not be a good fit for you. That's because people who have very dry skin felt like it just made their condition worse.

Also, this product is not very foamy, so if that's what you expect out of a cleanser, you might be disappointed. This is probably because the cream is thicker than most other cleansers. Instead of creating a thick suds, it cleans with more of a thin lather and you have to use a little more of the cleanser to have the same effect as some other cleansers. For this reason, some users have complained that it does a so-so job of leaving their face cleaner.

There a couple of other traits, which may or may not be a big deal for you, that have caused others to dislike this product. The first is that it does leave a minor "glittery" look on your face, which is where the word "radiant" comes in. The second is that there is a sweet smell that some people hate.

Now that we've gotten the negative stuff out of the way, it's time to look at the experiences of some of the people who love this product. A lot of users have turned to this cleanser for their acne with great improvement in a short time. Some users have seen dry patches on their face vanish after several days of using it.

Most people agree that this cleanser does a good job of what it's supposed to do-cleaning off makeup and other oils and grime from the day. People with normal or combination skin rave this cleanser does a good job of balancing everything out. To combat any drying effect, a lot of users combine the cleanser with the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer or Tinted Moisturizer.

Finally, one thing most everybody agrees on is that the packaging is pretty awesome. The pump on the bottle lets you get the exact amount of cleanser that you want, which helps it last longer. And the bottle is very convenient for travel because of its size and because you can close the pump by twisting the nozzle.

This cleanser, like most skincare products, tends to polarize people into two camps. People with extra-dry skin usually can't stand it, while people with other skin types are usually pretty happy with it. At its current price point, though, you can't go wrong if you want to try it out for yourself.
