Different forms of moles do not actually do any harm to the skin but you should not hesitate to receive treatment in order to remove moles. You will have to opt for surgical removal of the moles in case they become malignant. Moles are normally small dots but can be seen up to a size of an inch in diameter and are known to form on any part of the body. Firstly, it is essential to make sure that the spot appearing on the different body parts are moles and nothing else. Sometimes, people are not identify a mole correctly and confuse them with warts or skin tags.

It cannot be said that any person is totally safe from moles. But, genetics can play a part in it so some people are more vulnerable to this skin condition than others. You may opt for removing the moles at the comfort of your home or taking the help of dermatologist. Some methods tried out by dermatologist from a long time have been quite effective in getting rid of the mole from any part of the body. The two well known methods are called shave excision and deep excision which are undertaken by many dermatologists.

The moles will be eliminated by using a scalpel blade in the process of shave excision which is started off by providing local anesthetic to the patient. The blade helps to cut off the moles easily thus leaving your skin harmless. A scab will be formed after the mole is shaved but there is no reasons to worry as it will fall off in just a couple of weeks. There is no scar formation on the skin as the scab falls off easily thus making the skin smooth. Sometimes, moles appear on the face which is why patients like this method since there are not scars after the process is completed.

The only way out is to go for deep excision in case the moles become malignant. The dermatologist will proceed to cut the mole by using a small knife after administering anesthetic like novocaine to the patient. For complete removal of the moles from the skin, deep and wide cuts may be required for removing the cancerous tissues. Cauterization may come into the picture as well in order to help the healing process. There may be some scarring in this process based on the area of skin cut off.

Laser surgery is yet another option to remove moles by the help of laser beams. The laser beams are pointed at the affected area so that they can go through and attack the moles but the problem is that the beams might not be able to the root of the mole which compromises the efficiency of this process. The beams are passed on the moles in an attempt to completely tear down the tissue cells. After mole removal, the beams are used for sealing off the blood vessels. There are also some natural treatment options that can be used in case you do not want to rely on surgical mole removal.
