The Future of Laser Tattoo Removal Is Here!

By Kenneth Orr

Tattoos today are still all the rage with not only young adults, but older people as well. Having a cool tattoo where everyone can see it may define a person's character, or just show the world that getting ink done is an awesome way to coolness. Sporting a tattoo for years is quite possible, but what happens when a person gets to the age that the ink is uncharacteristic or inconvenient?

A person that has a tattoo and wishes for it to be removed can do this in a number of different ways. Some creams that exist on the market say that they can completely remove tattoos from your body. However, this process can take up to a year and if you have very deep, darkened, or colored tattoos, it may not even work at all. In addition, most of these types of cream contain Hydroquinone which is said to cause certain kinds of cancer.

Some of these creams that will attempt to remove tattoos have in them skin lying agents. When ever this lysing agent is applied to the skin, it will destroy skin cells and cause them to peel. When this method is applied several times the tattoo will be removed from the killing and peeling of your skin cells. However, a person undergoing this treatment may even experience scarring or even burns. Does it seem intelligent to you to dump acid on your skin to remove a tattoo? I think not.

You can even try to remove tattoos by the method of surgical removal but scarring is very common with this method. When going in for surgery, the doctors will remove the piece of skin that has been inked and then takes skin from other areas of your body and grafts them in. This can be very long, tedious, and uncomfortable to do with a high risk of infection and scarring.

One of the most popular methods for tattoo removal is the use of lasers. The light from the laser affects the ink directly, disrupting its binding properties and causing it to break up so the body can absorb it, thus eliminating the ink entirely. This is better than bleaching creams because the ink is absolutely eliminated from the skin. The laser feels like a rubber band snapping on the skin, but local anesthetic cream can be used. The laser can be used anywhere on the body, including sensitive areas.

Laser tattoo removal will take out all ink during its sessions. Although, it will depend on the amount of ink on your body as to how many laser removal sessions a person has. Because certain wavelengths are used for varying shades, colors, and degrees, of ink pretty much any tattoo can be removed. You will probably pay somewhere in the market of about $200 a session and might take anywhere from four to ten appointments.

Many people get their tattoos removed and feel this is the best way to do so. This will always be a personal choice to have a tattoo removed but there are many various reasons why people do so. They may wish to remove a name or a tattoo in an undesired area, either way a laser tattoo removal clinic will always be there to help.
