Dr. Samadi was born in Iran and lived there until the age of 15 when together with a younger brother, they left and settled in Belgium. Back in Iran, they were raised in a Persian Jewish community. They were compelled to live their country after the Iranian Revolution that took place in 1979. Dr David Samadi and the brother proceeded with their education in Belgium and later London before flying to the US.

David settled in New York and pursued his high school education there. He later went on to earn a degree in biochemistry in Stony Book University. His M. D was earned in 1994 at S. U. N. Y while postgraduate degree was completed at Montefiore medical Center. The doctor had interest in urology and fellowships and training he was later to attend and receive gave specific attention to that area of study.

David spent a few years during his initial years at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. While there, he served as Vice Chair for the Urology department and Chief of Robotics before transferring to (LHH) Lenox Hill Hospital. When leaving Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, he brought his former staff to LHH. The positions of Chair of Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery were given to him upon transferring to LHH. The school of medicine at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ also appointed him as a professor in the faculty.

Samadi maintains a membership with the American Medical Association as well as American Urological Association. The state of New York recognized him as the highest paid doctor in 2012. At the moment, he earns in the excess of 7.6 million United States Dollars annually.
