Reduce Your Love Handles With These Effective Tips

Believe it or not, deciding to lose your love handles isn't all that different from deciding to make money over the Internet. Basically you have two camps with one being the quick results people and the other are those who do it properly. You cannot simply take one pill or use one machine and have them disappear over night. You have to lose weight and firm up all over, but quick weight loss methods are a losing proposition. If you have ever done that and lost weight, then you know that the weight will re-appear.

A popular exercise that came along decades ago was isometrics, and it was all the rage for a certain period of time. For some reason, these days you don't hear of too many people doing isometric exercises. But you can do them for your love handle muscles and dedicated effort will produce results. More than one exercise needs to be practiced for best results, and being at the right weight is also important. So the simple isometric oblique exercise is to tighten your love handle muscles for perhaps 30 seconds to a minute and then release. In order to learn the ideal amount of time for keeping the muscles contracted, you will have to experiment on your own. Once you have the time down, you can do as many reps and sets as you want.

You need to work on toning all of your side muscles--including your love handles--which is pretty simple to do; you just need to do a few different kinds of exercises. You can employ this strategy through the use of motions for twisting and rotating. Another movement does not use rotating motion but rather stretching in a linear way like you're bending at the waist going left to right, etc. You can work out your love handles, to firm and tone, with the use of a broom stick. Place the stick on your shoulders and reach out with your arms and grab the stick. Bend from your waist, go back and forth, left to right and then back to the left. As long as you do not over do things, you can also twist at your waist. Also, be sure you warm up before doing any kind of exercise.

There are typically three things that factor into losing your love handles. You must eat healthy foods and avoid all the sugary drinks and snack foods. This is how you can achieve higher levels of energy and give your body what it needs. Next up is exercise that burns fat very well and this is cardio training. In addition to burning fat, you will be building your muscles but the muscles you build will depend upon what you do in your cardio routine. This means that you can use it to target your ab muscles. Follow that general plan for six months and your love handles will have no fat on them, or very little, and you'll look great.

Spot toning isn't going to work here because you need to increase your metabolism to the point where it can burn extra fat. Don't forget that you need to work on losing weight everywhere and toning your whole body. Most people are only concerned with their abs because that's what all the products are about. Oblique machines and transverse abdominal machines are difficult to come by. What is important is that you understand that you need to do more than crunches if you want your stomach to get into shape.

Figuring out the secret to getting rid of your love handles is not all that different from looking in a mirror. This is a fancy way of saying that you already have everything you need. There's no actual mystery to it, you only have to commit to the decision once you make it.
