We are all surrounded by friends either because we need them or we actually have fun while we are with them. That is the beauty of being human, you can enjoy life with the simplest pleasures that is friends. But for some, friends really do not matter. And these are people who tend to have problems socially.

There may be reasons as to why they do not have friends but here are some reasons as to why you should have friends.

When life throws a curveball at you, you tend to deal with it by yourself. Sometimes, the problems that you face can be bearable and you can solve them by yourself but there will also be times that it seems so bleak that you need other people to help you solve them. A friend is a welcome gesture to that notion.

Research has found out that having a friend increases your lifespan meaning having a friends lets you live longer. In fact, there have been recent studies that living a longer life with friends has nothing to do if you are in close contact with your relatives so friends do matter.

Stress is a natural killer. We try to get away from stress all the time and one way of doing so is to have a friend with you. Just talking your stress away with a cup of coffee is enough to relieve yourself of stress. This makes your friend a stress reliever.

If you want to be healthy, you can inspire your friends to do so with you. The more friends you have the more chances are that they will be able to support you. They might even join you during your workout sessions or healthy habits.

Depression can easily be coped if you have friends. Sure, medications can do wonders about your depression but without support, you are most likely to be dependent on drugs for the rest of your life. Friends are your natural mood boosters.

But nothing beats friends as people who will always be there for you. These are the people you trust with your life.
