Our stoves, ovens, heaters and water heaters use methane gas and when combined with carbon monoxide during winter season, we are like playing with fire. Carbon monoxide as we also know is a by-product of fuel combustion which is the result of our furnace working. The house is not well-aerated during winter time in order to warm up the place.To prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, especially in the wintertime, you can install a carbon monoxide detector. High content of the dangerous gas in the atmosphere triggers the device to sound off an alarm as a warning like most of these detectors.

Gas leaks occurring inside homes creates health conditions, there's even a greater chance that gas leaks also occurring outside the house brings tremendous damage. A whispering sound, bubbles appearing or dust puffing in the air without sign of wind - all these are warning signs that there is a leak in the pipe that is carrying methane gas.

Household appliances must comply with state standards and regulations and when used at home it must be properly put up and maintained regularly. In this way, leakages and poisoning can be thwarted.
