Plethora of mole removal techniques to solve your problems:

By Adel Klitz

There is a popular method of mole removal and it is called elliptical excision. Anesthesia is administered once a person is having his moles separated from his skin. This is applied in order to numb the area, where the operation will take place and no pain will be felt.

There are a lot of differences between this method and other methods such as laser or cryotherapy. Scarring is the major downside of this method. They can't be avoided. It doesn't require a lot of money and you can expect lesser pain when this method is used.

Scars will fade with time. But a slight trace will always remain. That doesn't stop people from choosing this method, though. After performing this operation, they then turn to other methods to deal with the scarring.

Compared to shave excision, elliptical excision seems to be more dangerous. It seems to be more dangerous because the skin will be deeply cut. When you cut the skin to a greater extent, it might lead to skin infections. This could give rise to future complications. More bleeding will occur. The wound will be even worse. Thus the time taken for the wound to get healed will also be longer than the other normal methods.

In this method, a very large area has to be operated. The cut on the skin will be oval in shape. The region operated includes both the mole as well as the region of skin encompassing it. To a greater extent, the skin will be involved.

Why do people choose this option if it causes scar and if it leads to strong skin damage?

There are lesser chances of mole recurrence if this method is chosen. The treatment addresses the core problem. Deeply rooted moles are completely removed. This method can effectively deal with the removal of all the moles in your body.

Another suggestion made by doctors is the cryotherapy. Another good option is Laser. You can look up the various types of surgeries on the internet to get a better idea of their good points and bad points. Extremely low temperature is needed in the method called cryotherapy. The cells found in all the skin moles will be killed when exposed to the cold. The main ingredient used in liquid nitrogen. Cells can be easily frozen. However, this might not work in the case of moles that have deep roots. It can be used for the superficial moles. This is the downside to this method. It is also risky to try this method, if the moles are deeply embedded into your skin.

You can do this in two ways. One method uses liquid nitrogen. It is directly applied on the moles. The other option is to use frozen liquid nitrogen. It will be directly injected into the layers of the skin. Frozen instrument will be used. This will effectively kill the cells on the skin moles.

It won't take long for the healing to occur since the moles in the deeper skin layers will remain untouched. Only moles on top of skin will be removed.
