The Sanskrit for sphere or spherical shape is Chakra. It refers to the seven energy centers in our body where energy thrives in the circular form and this is the place where the receiving and transmitting of the energy takes place. An individual needs to open chakras to balance the energy flow for his wholesome physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing.
It should be kept in mind by an individual that one should open chakras which are closed, under-active or which has its energy blocked or directed elsewhere. One needs to perform a chakra test to diagnose the ones that are faulty and then one has to open chakras through the techniques prescribed like meditation, physical exercises, sound and others.
Firstly, to open chakras, you need to identify the chakras that are blocked. This can be clearly understood from the mental or physical fear a person feels. For example, your solar plexus chakra needs to be opened and the energy flow balanced thereof in case you have digestive problems. Again, and your heart chakra needs to be opened in case you constantly suffer from the fear of betrayal, being hurt by a loved one, etc.
A simple hand exercise can also be undertaken to identify the chakras that need balancing. Stretch out your dominant hand at you side and stand straight. Then with your other hand, touch the chakras one by one concentrating on each. Ask a friend to push your dominant hand down and repeat this two times for all the seven chakras. You will notice that this action will have a certain pattern with some being easy to push down while some not. Realize that you need to open the under active or closed chakras, for which your dominant hand was pushed down easily.
After under active chakra identification has been done, open chakra with the help of meditation. All the chakras are characterized by a lotus having a specific colour and number of petals. Concentrate on the spot where your chakra should be and intensely visualize this lotus opening up there.
You can also open chakras by practicing chakra exercises. This includes a specific sitting posture along with a particular hand formation for each of the chakras. You need to sit down with a calm and clear mind and perform each of these 'mudras' coupling it with specific breathing instructions and saying aloud specific ancient and strong Sanskrit sounds. Thus, these chakra exercises along with the proper sound vibrations shall open chakras you desire.
Lastly, open chakras by the weapon of positive thinking. Each chakra in the body has their own set of positives and negatives. For example, the positives of the solar plexus stands are aspects of personal power like courage, confidence and high self esteem. Again, the negatives of the heart chakra are those of fear of being hurt, being betrayed by a loved one, etc. Therefore if a person successfully works on raising his positive sides and removing the negativities, it will help in improving the condition of the chakra and thereby improve his physical organs linked to the same.
Thus, we can conclude that first we need to analyze our body to see which chakras need to be opened and examined and thereafter we must work on opening them up through any of the techniques mentioned above, for the wholesome development of a person, in body, mind and spirit.
