Five Ways To Classify Skin Moles

By Garry Hustin

It is important to be able to classify skin moles first before you can expect to think about how to get rid of them. And in order to be in a position to classify the moles, we need some criteria we can use in the categorization. There are five criterions that you can base these categorizations on.

In other words, and in simpler terms, there are five major ways in which we can classify these moles. We now venture to look at those five ways in which the moles can be classified. This will also lead us to be the various categories for skin moles that we should know about according to the criteria set out before us. The first major way in which skin moles can be classified is on the basis of their colors. Here, we have some moles that are very dark-colored, and others that are not so dark-colored. All moles are, by definition, dark: but some are darker than others. We come to learn from the doctors who are involved in skin mole removal treatment that the color of the moles tends to be an important consideration when making decisions on how to remove them.

The proper classification of the moles will also be hugely influenced by their size. Some moles are very small in size (with some being so small that the people hosting them are barely aware of their presence).

Other moles can be so huge that they become hard to ignore. Meanwhile, they could get to such huge proportions that they are an eyesore. Actually, it is probably the size of the skin moles that will plant the seed of the idea of having it removed in your head. The size of the skin mole will also impact greatly on your decision as to which skin mole removal method you will attempt.

When classifying the moles accordingly, it is also important to take note on which part of the body they are located. Any skin surface on any part of the body could be affected with moles. Aside from facial moles, we also get moles on our backs, our arms, legs, stomach, and even on our necks. What you decide to do with your skin moles will be greatly affected by the location of said moles. This is where, for instance, the inclination to remove conspicuous moles may be higher than the inclination to remove 'hidden' moles.Next, you will also be able to classify skin moles according to their depths. True, some moles could be shallow. However, you will find that some moles have roots that go deep. Mole management will also be affected by the depth of these moles. If you compare how the mole removal treatments for shallow moles and deep-seated moles, you will find that the latter would probably require that anesthesia be administered and stitching be performed.

Now the fifth basis on which you can classify the skin moles would be their forms. Flat moles exist. They are flat on the skin and do not exhibit any signs of growth, unlike some moles which are, basically, growths. When it comes to management, it emerges that the manner in which the moles that are basically flat are dealt with is quite different from the manner in which the moles that come across as 'growths' are managed.
