Low Testosterone

The hormone produced primarily by the testicles testosterone is the hormone responsible for developing male sexual traits and maintaining muscle mass, bone density and red blood cell levels. Testosterone levels peak in adolescence and early adulthood, and then begin to decline with age, typically at a rate of 1 to 2 percent per year after the age of 30. This levels influence physical, emotional and sexual well being, with higher testosterone generally having a favorable effect on attitude and performance.

In medical phrases, hypogonadism is a decrease in the usual production of bodily hormone. Its categorization according to the issue spot is: Key Hypogonadism, is when the problem is in organs; Second Hypogonadism, is when the issue is in pituitary gland; Tertiary Hypogonadism, is when there is complication in the hypothalamus. Although testosterone is a male hormone, it can convert into estrogen, because it simply binds with the aromatase enzyme. This residential property gives the existence of some estrogen-related results such as water retention and deposition of fats in the body. These estrogenic impacts make male individuals prone to developing gynecomastia or the strange growth of breast muscles.
