Stop Scaring The People Around You With Your Insistent Coughing

Coughing isn't cute. Though continuous coughing reminds people of dogs barking, coughing doesn't hold the same appeal. In fact, people around you may see this as a cue to move away from you. That's correct, coughing is a surefire way to do if you want to repel people.

Coughs are full of virus. Whatever you cough spreads into the air, which is precisely what frightens people around you. It is not impossible that whatever you have they will get also. Plain cough is already bad, how much worse can it get if you have a more serious ailment? And while people are not certain what you really have, they won't take their chance. They will simply stay away from you.

If people start averting their faces from you, don't take insult. It's not personal. You can't do anything about how people react to your cough, but you can do something about your annoying problem.

If you have a lingering cough that stays on for days and over-the-counter cough medications don't work, it's time to visit a doctor. Don't be alarmed, though, you possibly don't have a far worse disease than just a simple cough. Let's hope not.Nevertheless, a doctor would know how to cure your hovering problem.

A physician, one who focuses on Ear-Nose-Throat maladies, would prescribe the correct medication for you, depending if your cough is dry or wet or it is associated with the mucus from your lungs or sinus.

It never hurts to try home cures such as honey and lemon. Those organic solutions are not only cheap and easily accessible, they are also filled with vitamins and minerals.

Don't forget to work on your hygiene also when you have cough. Cover your mouth with a clean handkerchief to keep the germs from spreading and also repress the sound. That way, people won't panic too much when you cough.

If you wash your hands regularly and use antibacterial wipes, people would welcome the effort. It just shows that you are thoughtful of others, not wanting them to be infected. You can also try lozenges to help calm down itchy throats.

Don't take offense when people turn away from you when you have cough. Keep in mind that it's nothing personal.
