Sun Damage Causing Serious Problems Later In Life

It is only after a lengthy period of time that one experiences the results of over-exposure to the sun. Cells harmed lead to dry lifeless skin, early aging, wrinkles, cancerous lesions on hands and forearms. Sun damage causes skin to bruise and tear easily and in acute instances to veins damage and resulting bleeding under the skin.

Unfortunately when has had a lengthy period of over-exposure and the resulting damage one finds oneself forever at a disadvantage as the progression is relentless. A good sun block is a must and one should always check the expiry dating as block-out products are useless once they have passed their sell by dates.

Whenever venturing outside one needs to follow a set routine of block-out and a hat as the days of just lolling around in the sun are long gone and one may now want to be skin care conscious.

The results of spending hours in the sun sometimes take years to materialize but when it does it is upsetting. Brown spots on hands and fore-arms are the first to appear and often they are just unsightly but now and then they can be dangerous and need to be medically checked.

There are many signs that one can look out for with regard to possible skin cancer. Inflamed, flaky lesions on face and bottom lip, ears and top of hands are the most affected and any mole or spot that continuously itches, bleeds or is painful should be seen to straight away.

Avoid the sun during the midday sun period and even on a cloudy day one should be careful. The ultra violet lighting used in tanning booths have also been known to have an adverse effect on skin.

A large portion of the population is at risk, these are light skinned, blond and red heads and light eyed people and little kids. If one can teach one's children good Sun damage precautionary methods one may keep them from possibly developing skin cancer later in life.
