Mistakes To Avoid With Your Makeup This Christmas

By Kerry Collins

Tis' the season to be jolly; it is also a time of year when you want to be looking your best. When it comes to makeup at this time of year, most of us will put some extra effort into making sure we look good. But the trouble with many of us is that we tend to get it wrong; you can see evidence of this at the many parties you may attend over the holidays.

The following are a few common makeup mistakes that you will want to avoid

A lot of people will try to copy their favourite celebrities by trying to get their makeup look. There are more than one reason why this is a mistake. The first thing to realise is that these celebrities have professional makeup artists helping them create their look.

These are people who have had a lot of training to do their job. You also need to remember that the look will not be the same on you unless you have the same shape face and colouring as the celebrity you want to look like.

Something else that people also get wrong is to put glitter on their face. Glitter should really not be used by adults as it can make them look like they are trying too hard. Glitter on anyone over the age of thirteen is never a good look and should just be avoided.

There is a lot going on over Christmas so people can be tempted to cut corners with their makeup preparations. A lot of us will apply fresh makeup without fully getting rid of the makeup we had on the night before. Makeup should only ever be applied to your skin if it is clean and dry. It is also very important to make sure you are using a good moisturiser.
