Going to the local dentist. Going to the dentist hasn't always been such a horrible experience. The dentist that I went to as a child was the coolest person ever. As I had my dental exam, he would be sure to take good care of my teeth. Because of the dentist I feel like I have a lot better oral health and have learned how to take care of my teeth on my own. The dentist is a doctor who makes sure that our oral and dental health is up to par. No one wants to have any bad oral diseases or problems.
Growing up I always heard of how scary dentists were. I never quite understood the local rumors and stories of how the dentists cause oral pain and discomfort. For me going to the dentist meant getting checked out of school to get my oral check up. My health was more important than school right? Well, if going to the dentist was or wasn't more important than practice at the school I am sure glad I went.
Dentists are the perfect excuse for kids to get checked out of school or miss piano practice. Dentists have locations all over the city. It really isn't too hard to find a good dentist in your local area. I hear that a large city like New York is packed with dentists. There are a lot of people for dentists to practice their dental and oral expertize on. I know that if you are in need of oral or dental care, you won't be too hard pressed to find a good dentist in the area.
Here in America you can find so many local dentists. I have traveled all over the world and have realized how lucky we are to have such amazing dentists. When I was in England I had a filling fall out of my tooth. It was almost impossible to find a good dentist. When I finally located a dental care center in a close by city I had to make a dentist appointment for three weeks away. In America, if you need dental assistance you can find dentists all over in your local neighborhood or close by city that would be more than willing to help with your dental and oral needs. It just doesn't mean the same thing to be a dentist in other countries.
I think about all my experiences with my different dentists. I have had oral surgery on my gums. I have had a wonderful dentist who always takes great care in my teeth, but I have also had dentists who have done a terrible job and don't bring up any health issues in my mouth that they should have foreseen. Dental health is very important to me, probably because I have had some bad dentists and some oral problems.
