The Four Types Of Acne Scars

Scars left by pimples have a vast effect on a person's sense of being. One inevitable - and cumbersome - trial that we deal with during our youth is agonizing over a bad crop of zits. We had to live with the pesky pimples and the inescapable scarring.

Another variety is called rolling scar; a broad, shallow depth is what characterizes this scar variety. Boxcar-type scars are commonly found on the sides of the head or the cheeks; they have angular and well-defined edges, similar to scars caused by chickenpox. Keloidal and hypertrophic scars are raised tissues on the surface of the skin.

Academic researches revealed that having acne scars on the face can largely affect an indvidual's sense of self-worth, and that individual may be more prone to depression.
