Articulate About Carpet Cleaning- Tips On Eradicating Tough Stains

By Mike Johnson

One thing that cannot be avoided in any home is carpet stains. An enjoyable hot fudge sundae becomes less enjoyable when the individual eating it accidentally gets a huge glob of chocolate sauce on the white carpet. The one thing all professional cleaning companies state is that taking a wet cloth and just rubbing the mark does not work, in fact, it can make it worse and increase frustration. There are tips, however, on how to endure proper carpet cleaning.

Recent spills can be removed with only ice and cold water. Gently place a towel that was soaking in ice and cold water, that has been wrung out over the area. Pat it instead of wiping the area. The cold moisture will lift the mess. After, take an ice cube over the stain in a circular action and then a dry towel when done.

Grass stains and blood stains are the hardest marks to remove from floor coverings. However, they can be removed. All that is required is a cool water cloth and dish detergent.

With any sauce, dressing, or even ketchup, the first thing to do is wipe up the excess from the area that has the spill. The trick is then to use an oil solvent to eliminate the grease from the sauce. The next secret is then dabbing the area with white vinegar to ensure the rug keeps its color. The final step is just to dab the area with cold water then a dry towel.

Everyone has parties in their home and some of these parties have wine. It is inevitable that some red wine will get spilled. Just use denatured alcohol, white vinegar, and then cold water in that order and allow to air dry.

Other plausible household ingredients to remove spills include ammonia and lemon juice. Proper cleaning of a spill means first identifying what comprises the spill. A majority of marks are not properly removed because the individual does not use the right items to clean it with. Professional cleaners state that once the wrong ingredients are used to clean a spill, the stain will never fully be removed.

The rug is the centerpiece of the room. However, despite their design, they are equipped to handle hard work that can make the carpet lose value. To keep it looking good, take these cleaning tips and use them when needed.
