If you are a male and have low testosterone levels there are many ways that you might be affected. Your body can show many different symptoms that you may not realize are contributed towards low levels of the male hormone. If you are constantly tired, moody, attained more pounds, these could be signs that you are not getting enough testosterone. Other health issues such as heart problems, and thinner bones are other ways that be the culprit of lower levels of the hormone. A doctor can perform a test to advise you whether or not you are affected.

Exercise is critical to keeping the body and organs in proper working order. Many use exercise to stay in shape. This can be in the form of aerobic or anaerobic exercise or a combination of the two. If you do something to stay fit on a regular basis then your weight should be stable and not fluctuate. If you are seeing a large weight gain and you have not decrease your exercise regime or changed your eating habits this can be an indicator of low hormone levels.

Men have this hormone in their bodies from the time of puberty. When the normal amount drops it can make men more irritable and emotional. At times many may feel depressed and cannot understand the reason why. Before you head to the psychiatrist check out go to the doctor to eliminate any hormone level decreases.

If you just can't get enough sleep, before you take a sleeping people consider that your hormone is the culprit. If you are an older male your hormone levels may have decreased. This can greatly affect your energy levels.

Most people consider that elderly men and women are the ones to worry about with bone health. The image of someone having a bone fracture is not conjured up by someone middle aged or not retired from working. Bone fractures are greatly increased by men with low male hormones. If you exercise a lot this can create stress fractures in greater quantities. If you happen to get a stress fracture this could mean that your body isn't producing enough hormones.

Cholesterol levels can play an role in heart attacks. However recent studies have indicated that those with a decrease in male hormone levels have a greater chance of having a heart attack. Even if you exercise this may pose an unforeseen threat.

Low testosterone levels usually start appearing in middle aged men. When you get your annual physical exam you should also ask to get your hormone levels checked. This can be a precursor to other ailments that your body may experience. Some can be prevented by medications or supplements prescribed by your doctor. Together both of you can decide how best to proceed for your health.
